Feather Bolster Pillows

French Bolster Pillow

From France:

Sacha has had so many requests for the Feather Bolster Pillows that we are going to list them for you.
We are always surprised when we run into such a cultural difference!
Something so very normal to her, is something very romantic French and unattainable to me.
Not anymore!  I'll be having one of these on MY bed soon!
These are brand new. Pillow form ONLY.

A bolster pillow case is quite plain and simple, yet an essential item for that perfect French Made Bed. No real French bed goes without a bolster. Even hotel rooms often still have those laying on the bed and to be used, not the 'hard decorative ones'!
On the pictures it's filled with a standard French bolster pillow that has a length of 160 cm (63"). The sides are traditionally left as is: open and hanging down, not tied with a ribbon or something!

Sacha and her wonderful finds!

And of course, Sacha Kay finds the most amazing things in France! This piano shawl conjures up images of flappers singing on piano's in a smoke filled room with a cigarette in one hand and a glass absinthe in other....liberating women from the bonds of corsets and society!

Bag??? WHAT BAG????

I have this most gorgeous Italian crocodile briefcase and Sacha is making me sell it!!!

My laptop fits right into it...I should be able to keep it...yes???

Don't you agree???

Sigh....

(LOL  Poor Sacha, she gets blamed for everything!  She actually encouraged me to KEEP it, I almost fell out of my chair!  It's so gorgeous she was allowing me to have it in my closet...bless her heart!)

How many of these can a girl have though?

Fine. It's in our Ebay shop Sacha Kay. I want more lavender. Humph.

And my Victorian Celluloid Photo Album...

Lots of old cabinet photos.

I love these old pictures, everyone looked so serious!

And that's my round up for the day!

French Teapots and Spiders

As usual, during coffee I was having my morning (her evening) conversation with Sacha...

She was showing me what she was listing today. Love these French prints! Why does she have all the good stuff! Yes, I'm whining here!

Look at this cute, cute enamel teapot!!

Anyway...

I was gracefully (slouching) reclining at my desk when this HUMONGOUS
wood spider came crawling across the top of my desk towards me.

I'll tangle with almost anything, I have bears and coyotes in my yard every night...

but spiders, and especially one as big as one of my cats???

(Brenda: known to exaggerate a teeny bit)

Oh man, I'm outta there!

And just in case you thought Sacha was the sweet one...

You can see how sympathetic she was!

        • Have you see all the comments on our blog???

        • I just had a spider as big as a tarantula come crawling across my desk!!!

        • Ehm? Chase it?!?!?! LOL! You DID know where it was. Now it can get back to surprising you. LMAO!!! This is hilarious.

            • Try catching it with a glass / jar and piece of paper and release it outside. Or if you don't mind killing spiders: vacuum cleaner.

From DE to OF and French listings and such...

Due to 'administrative reasons' (eBay only gave us 50 listings per month on our new account) we were forced to move to Brenda's 'old' account 'Boudoir of Paris'. Of course we got to think why on earth we didn't start using that in the first place...

So Brenda has done an incredible and major job on migrating all our accounts from 'Boudoir DE Paris' to 'Boudoir OF Paris'.

And now we're going back and forth from one eBay shop that still has biddings going on, to listing on the new eBay shop. So kind of chaotic. But only for a week and then things are back to normal again.

Of course there's still the logo issue. But that's mostly me being slackerish. Brenda is the active one of our joint venture...

I've done my best to get some nice, lovely and romantic French items listed, though!

There's this cute little sewing kit:

A nice 'GM' monogram on a 'Fil de Lin' (the finer linen) panel, perfect for a crafting project:

A lovely romantic linen nightgown that would make a perfect layer in a bohemian or Magnolia Pearly style clothing:

And a fantastic linen 'MT' monogramed sheet, that a Shabby Paris Apartment Style bedroom or Chateau Chic Boudoir cannot do without:

So far the listings from my side of the big pond (France). For the American listings... Brenda has been busy listing all sorts of lovely antique sewing patterns that you just have to go and see!!!

I wish you all a lovely and great weekend. I'm off for my 'apéritive' (read: Rosé Wine with snacks) and my lavender harvesting with husband.

À plus mes Amies!

Sacha.
